Based on Class A, the GLA is the new compact SUV from Mercedes. Boasting a length of 4.42 meters and a trunk volume of 421 liters, it will be exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
GLA is now official! After putting his compact crossover at the center of a teaser video yesterday, Mercedes has decided to lift the veil on his identity card and its final look.
Based on the platform of the Class A, GLA was introduced as a concept at the Shanghai Motor Show in April. The standard version shows different dimensions with a length of 4.42 meters, a width of 1.80 meters and a height of 1.49 meter.
The Stuttgart manufacturer communicates a boot volume of 421 liters to 836 liters passing once the rear seats are folded down. Note that a pack “trunk compartment” optional offers additional space of 60 liters without having to fold down the seats.
The engine range based on the Class A includes unsurprisingly petrol, 1.6 petrol in version 156 hp (200 GLA) and 2.0 petrol developing 211 hp (250 GLA). The latter is measured 4Matic 7.1 l/100 km for a 0 to a 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds and shot a top speed of 233 km / h.
Diesel side, there is the 136 horsepower 2.2 (GLA 200 CDI) and the 2.2 170 hp (GLA 220 CDI). Mercedes communicates the level of consumption of the first to 4.3 l/100 km and emissions of 114 g / km of CO 2 by placing it in the neutral zone of no-claims bonus. The firm at the Star does not yet mentioned a possible AMG version and four cylinder 2.0 turbo strong 360 horsepower.
The GLA will be exposed to the public eye the 12 to 22 September at the IAA. Its fee schedule and the list of facilities should be provided at this time.
